SS  TUBING  TYPE  MFCs
 

The in line MFCs are for use in industries using stainless steel tubing. For example the dairy industry which requires food grade stainless steel.

These are made to order and usually the clients require special type of fittings, for example, BSM CIP Fittings which allow the units to be removed on a regular basis.  In these cases the units are required to be removed when sections the plant are dismantled to check and perform additional cleaning of parts of the plant which are difficult to clean fully in the regular CIP (clean in place) procedures.

These units are simple to retrofit and cover the range up to 3 inch (75 mm) piping.

Typical applications are in the food and industrial industries where stainless steel tubing is used.

The diagram below shows the location of Scale-X MFCs on a milk evaporator (concentrator).  Dairy evaporators foul within a few hours.  Because of the extreme rate of scaling, the MFCs can only (1) slow the rate of scaling, (2) increase run times, (3) shorten the CIPs time (cleaning in place) and (4) reduce thermophiles and aerobic spores.

MFCs are located just upstream
of the entry to each vessel.
